This month’s GNABC chapter meeting will feature a presentation by Susan Reid Schellinck, entitled, “Neurophysiology of Chronic Stress, Pain & Anxiety, & Some Simple Techniques & Lifestyle Modifications that Help. Or, for a practical application to your own life think: “How to Survive the Holiday Season”! 😉

Susan Reid Schellinck is an Occupational Therapist who has a passion for working with people with chronic pain. She received her first science degree from University of Victoria, and her Occupational Therapy degree from University of British Columbia. She is a longstanding Pain BC education committee member, Pain BC faculty, and a board member for Canadian Neuromodulation Society. She tours Canada teaching other OT’s about assessment and treatment of chronic pain. In addition to doing individual assessments, her private work includes teaching group education (to health care providers and people in pain), leading support groups, and providing self-management sessions to help people with pain to decrease pain and get back to living a full life.
