Education Awards
GNABC believes education is an ongoing process in nursing, especially in these rapidly changing times. Education awards are available to members of GNABC that are furthering their education. The number and amount of the awards will be dependant upon the financial status of GNABC for the granting year.
If you have been a member in good standing for at least the past two years you are highly encouraged to check out the rest of the eligibility criteria listed on the forms (that you can download below). If you meet all criteria, fill out the forms and send in your application now. The successful candidate will be announced at the AGM. Please note that LPNs and RPNs are eligible if they meet the criteria.

2012 Recipient: Susan Kuruez Congratulations!
Susan is a Clinical Nurse Specialist for Seniors Health in the Vancouver Island Health Authority. She is also is pursuing doctoral studies at the University of Victoria. Her area of interest is the care of older adults and specifically, the care of those with dementia and the caregivers and professionals who care for these vulnerable persons. She has intentions to focus on this particular population throughout her studies and finally in her dissertation. Susan has indicated that she is committed to the goal of improving care of older adults both as an educator and as a researcher as that is what drives her to continue to learn and grow.
GNABC wishes Susan all the best in her journey of learning.
