2024 GNABC Education Award Information and Application
Each year the GNABC offers an Education Award of $500 to members who are furthering their education.
If you meet the eligibility criteria listed below you are encouraged to send your application to Mariko Sakamoto at msakamoto@uvic.ca by February 28, 2024
The successful candidate will be announced at the provincial AGM. GNABC reserves the right to publish the name of the successful applicant(s) on their website.
Eligibility Criteria:
GNABC member in good standing for the past two years.
Registered with BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Full time or part time enrolment in a post-basic program or course in a recognized educational institution at the time of accepting the award OR be registered to write the CNA Gerontological nursing certification examination.
Courses undertaken must be in gerontology nursing or toward a nursing degree.
Demonstrate an interest and potential in a career in gerontological nursing.
Priority will be given to first-time applicants. However, candidates that have previously received an award may apply again.
