Why should you join GNABC?
The Gerontological Nurses Association of British Columbia is a professional organization that supports and advances the professional interests of its members by promoting a social, economic and political climate in which nurses and other healthcare providers that care for the older adult can provide accessible, efficient and effective healthcare that meets the highest professional standards of practice.
There are many benefits associated with GNABC membership including membership in the Canadian Gerontological Nurses Association. Check out the CGNA website for more information regarding member benefits. Note: Please allow a few days after joining GNABC for your membership information to be forwarded to CGNA.

There are four levels of membership in GNABC:
Full Membership: all practicing and non-practicing members of the College of Registered Nurses of BC (CRNBC), College of Licensed Practical Nurses of BC (CLPNBC), and College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of BC (CRPNBC).
Student Membership: In order to be eligible for Student membership, a person must be registered as a student member of the provincial nursing licensing body AND be enrolled in a nursing program. They will be voting members and they will pay 50% of the annual dues but do not have the right to hold office.
Affiliate Membership: consists of other persons and groups who have an interest in the health care of the older adult. They will be non-voting members and pay 50% of annual dues but do not have the right to hold office.
Honorary Lifetime Membership: may be conferred on persons recognized by GNABC for their contribution to the field of Gerontology. They will be voting members of GNABC but will pay no dues.
Membership renewal due date is by March 31st of each year.
Membership is active for 1 year starting April 1st to March 31st of the following year. Please note: membership will lapse if dues are unpaid by june 3oth of each year.
Dues:
$65 for RN’s, NP’s, RPN’s and LPN’s
$32.50 for Students and Affiliates
